University of Missouri Columbia RECEIVED Department of Chemistry APR 16 1928 April 14, 1928 e Mr. H. H. Barker United States Radium Corporation 535 Pearl Street New York My dear Barker: I just sent you a wire saying that I expect to be in New York City with you Sunday morning, April 22. In a letter of the 12th, copy of which I enclose, and which must be due about this time, I told you of this. In looking up trains, I find that the Spirit of St. Louis which leaves St. Louis about noon does not arrive in New York City until 1:50 P.M. the next day, and since I can not very well arrange to leave here until about four O'clock in the afternoon, I must come on a slower train which leaves St. Louis about midnight, and is due in New York about seven O'clock Sunday morning, Pennsylvania. There is, however, a very fast train on the Pennsylvania, known as the American, which leaves St. Louis at nine o'clock and is due in New York City at 10:05 the next day, which is a real 24 hour service. It would be well, would it not, to arrive in New York a little before the hour set for the test? I know that you will advise me if any changes occur in your plan which will affect the hour set for the test on Sunday morning. Please advise where the test is to be conducted. With very kind regards, I remain Sincerely yours, Herman Schlundt HS e b
