Wednesday Sept5-28
Here I am at the close of my second day
having roamed about all the old paths
and up and down the shore of Lahe
Michigan The season has closed, only a
few families remaining. dexpect to start
homeward on saturday and hope to get
to Columbia monday evening
I hope th at you will contribute to our ur bro-
jected experiments. we should have the Termice
residule for a week, and also the faces
Dr Filemin has facilities for evaporationard
burning off the organic matter.
I have looked over the experimental that
Dr. Filemin handed me shortly Before we a said goodbye
They are all alplase ray measuremnto by the felm
method, and are only qualitative we shall need
quantitature deter minature must -

clude the weight of the solid residees which are
used as the source of the samples for Ra deter me-
