Dear Mr. Granger:
A Mr. Kjaer (pronounced Kare) from the
Federal Department of Labor spent a large portion of last
Friday at our office, and stated that he has been commiss-

investigation into the question of possible hazards from
the application of luminous material.
Mr. Kjaer has the Waterbury Clock Company
on his list and proposed to call on you in the near future.
He also showed us a newspaper clipping wherein it stated
that a Miss Joy Splittstasher (this is a name we never heard
before), who formerly worked for you had died in 1926, the
cause of her death being attributed to radium poisoning.
He also lonows of the Miss Wall and ligs Dunn cases.
Mr. Kjaer is frank, seems to be honest and
not disposed to be a trouble malcer.
I thought you milght be interested in this
advance tip since undoubtedly you will receive a call from
him.
