OFFICE OF THE DEAN
December 27, 1928
Mr. H. H. Barker,
United States Radium Corporation,
535 Pearl Street,
New York
Dear Barker:
Many thanks for your Christmas greetings.
Allow me to wish you a very happy and prosperous
New Year.
I have just returned from spending the
holidays in Kansas City. While there I noticed an
article in two of the papers (identical in both) about
the radium girls. I presume you have seen a copy. It
appeared that they are all s till enjoying good health and
that some of them are now able to realize ambitions such
as music, art, etc., but that one of them had unfortunately
(or possibly fortunately) lost her husband through divorce
on account of his having resigned from his job to spend
all of his time getting rid of the money which she got;
so
there seema to be at least two sides to the situation.
With best regards to yourself and Mr. Lee,
Sincerely yours,
A.li Q find
S. C. Lind,
Director.
