U.S. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR
SK:HD.
BUREAU OF LABOR STATISTICS
WASHINGTON
April 20th, 1929
Mr. C. B. Lee, President,
United States Radium Corporation,
535 Pearl Street,
New York, N. Y.
My dear Mr. Lee:
During one of our conversations you promised to advise me
of the radium contents in the various amounts of luminous composition
used by your customers, when I sent you the list of these.
It seems hardly necessary to send you a detailed list of
amounts for computation, SO I am just inclosing a list of the various
grades, as furnished by the firms, and should appreciate it if you
will give me the elemental contents per gram for them, as manufactured
before 1925.
I am giving this date because I understand that changes
in contents have been made since then, and I do not want to inquire
too closely into private business. But, anyway, I want to assure
you that the information will be kept strictly confidential, and that
the only figures published will be the radium contents of monthly
amounts used by establishment No. 1, 2, etc., so that it can not
be identified.
Thanking you in advance, and with best personal regards,
Sincerely yours,
S. Kjaer.
Repr. U. S. Bureau
of Labor Statistics.
Elemental contents, in micrograms, per gram of
