-8- much to be gained by putting such facts in the hands of Dr. Knef. I recall that you, on various occasions, expressed an interest in this sort of data, as you probably surmised that the conditions found would probably exist. We have at all times given Dr. Flinn our fullest cooperation and, would be glad to continue to do 30 if Dr. Flinn displayed a disposition to accept same in the spirit which it is given. I have not seen the July number of the Popular Science monthly, but shall take occasion to look up the article at an early date. I have sent copies of our joint paper, as well as the one published under my name, on the Leman case, to those you suggest with the exception of Mrs. Hewes. Unfortunately we do not have her address, but in case we can locate same I shall be glad to see that she is supplied. I also sent Dr. Moore and Dr. Lind copies of these two papers - however, our duplication is probably of little consequence. I have no idea what type of therapy De Flinn is using to increase the rate of elimination of radium, for he gave me no information on this sufject. However, I would not be at all surprised to find that it is as you suggest. I an in hopes that I shall have the pleasure of a chat with Madam Curie while in Paris and, have asked Dr. Moore for his assistance in enabling me to have an interview. In case you have any suggestions as to how to see Madam Curie I would appreciate same. With kind regards, I am Very truly yours, Vice President. HHBarker:RH enclosure Note: Mr. Lee has suggested that you write Dr. Janes Ewing, Cornell University Medical College, lst Ave. and 28th St., N.Y.C. advising him regarding your suggestion of using barium chloride to increase the rate of elimination of radium. I an confident that Dr. Ewing will welcome any such suggestion and, am also sure that you will receive full recognition of such suggestion should this line of attack prove fruitful.
