Dr. Herman Schlundt,
University of Missouri,
Columbia,Mo.
Dear Dr. Schlundt:
I have discussed the matter of re-exemination
of lirs. Meta's expired air with Dr. Flinn, and while he feels
that he could make the statement that Mrs. Meta is not radio-
active, still he agrees with you that his position would be strength-
ened by another test.
It is our opinion that the tests conducted in
February 1929, we will not have to give consideration to, for the
authorized tests were conducted this last August 1930.
In view of these circumstances Mrs. Mets was found
negative by the gamma ray test, and Dr. Flinn states that he has
never found a patient negative by one method where he found any
radio-activity by the other. On this basis he feels perpared to
make the statement that his examination shows Mrs. Metz to be negative.
However, I am endeavoring to arrange for a re-examination of Mrs.
Metz's expired air, and in this connection I presume that it will not
be necessary for you to come on for this test, that is on the condition
that whatever Dr. Flinn finds you will substantiate in your testimony.
We have to settled this matter definitely very
shortly now, for it is quite possible that these cases will come up
for trial at any time.
Sincerely yours,
Vice President.
