Dr. L. F. Craver,
Menorial Hospital,
2 West 106th St.,
New York City.
Dear Dr. Craver:
Copies of your letters of October 2lst,
addressed to Larice, also instructions for Dr. Johnson
have been received.
I infer from the notation on copy of letter
sent to Nes. Larice that Dr.Fialla expected to complete
the radioactive tests on October 29th, on these patients, and
that shortly thereafter they will be ready to stert on the
parathormone treatment. I trust that you will advice either
Dr. Johnston or ayself as soon as these treatments should be
started.
I have before ne E letter from Dr. Schlundt,
in which he states that during & discussion of the treatment
of these girls with parathormone with Dr. Hessler, she suggested
that E determination of the vital capacity and basal metabódic
state of the girls, prior to administration of parathormone
treatment, might be of considerable value.
It seems that Dr. Bugene Du Bois, of Cornell
Medical College, has done considerable work along this line -
also Dr. Grace MacLeod, of Teachers College, Columbia University.
I am merely passing the nbove suggestions of Dr.
Schlundt along to you for you to act upon as you see fit.
Sincerely yours,
Vice President.
