Ruth Saxer v. U. S. Radium Corp.
C. B. Lee, Esq.
,
Pres. U. S. Radium Corp
,
535 Pearl Street,
New York City.
Dear Mr. Lee:
Herewith copy of letter to Mrs. Saxer
of the 16th inst. together with my reply. Please advise
me what further offer, if any, you wish me to make at this
time.
There are two views in the matter. One
would be to refuse to make any further offer and stand on
the 5000. The other would be to increase it somewhat, al-
though I doubt whether we ought to go as high as our authority
of $8000.
You will note that Mrs. Saxer says she
feels she ought to have at least $5000. My own judgment is
that we should not increase the $5000. until she comes down
to some figure that we can accept. Evidently she and her
husband want to dicker. She says $15,000. on the theory
that she will probably get a split between $5000. and $15,000.,
or $10,000.
With kindest regards,
Sincerely yours,
EAM: AG
