January 5th,1932. Dr. Herman Schlundt, Unversity of Missouri, Columbia, Mo. Dear Dr. Schlundt: Copies of the telegrams which you received from Zimmerman, as well as your reply were received. I very much doubt if you will be able to purchase the radium at the price offered, still at the same time I don't believe that there would be any point in offering hin any sore. The marketing of second-hend radium seems to be a rather complicated problem, and we might be up against a matter here very similar to the one we are up against in the marketing of our mesothorium, Indicently have you had any word from Dr. Miner recently, as to what has been done in this direction. Your note advising of the progress you have made at Bigin has been received. I shall be interested in more details as to the amounts of material which the various patients had been given, and the amounts which you found - aleo the reaction of the Elgin State Hospital to this type of therapy insofar as obtaining any beneficial results are concerned. It is quite probable that I shall make a trip to Denver around the middle of the month. In case I do I shall plan on returning via Columbia, which should be some time around February lst. With the best of wishes for the New Year, I am Sincerely yours, Vice President, HHBarkertRH
