Mr. H. H. Barker,
Vice President,
United States Radium Corporation,
535 Pearl Street,
JAN 13 1932
New York, N. Y.
Dear Mr. Barker:
I was glad to hear from you again, and to receive
your letter of January llth.
We did not determine the electrostatic capacity
of the Wulf-ltest gamma ray electroscope which you so
very kindly loaned us for our recent investigations,
nor did we determine the voltage which corresponds to the
scale readings on the instrument. We simply determined the
rate of fall of the leaf corresponding to the (quantity of
radium placed at a known distance.
I much regret that we cannot send you the infor-
mation for which you ask.
With best regards, I am,
Yours sincerely,
James E. wes
(James E. Ives)
