C. B. Lee, Esq.,
Pres. U. S. Radium Corp.
535 Pearl Street,
New York City.
Dear Mr. Lee:
I was talking to Mr. John W. McGeehan in
regard to the above matter today. According to the corres-
pondence this comes solely within the policy coverage of the
New Amsterdam represented by Mr. Edwin F. Smith. However,
I
send along to you the information given me by Mr. John W.
McGeehan.
He says that Mrs. Lamp tron was employed by
your company under the name of Kelly. Mr. McGeehan is
inclined to be very fair about the matter. He says he is
not sure that Mrs. Lamp tron is suffering from radium poison-
ing and he is perfectly W illing to have her examined by
specialists, presumably Dr. Schlundt and Dr. Flinn for the
purpose of ascertaining whether she is radio-active. If she
is he does not wish any publicity or notoriety and he does
not wish to institute any suit. He feels that the case
could probably be settled on the same basis that we are
settling other cases at this time.
Mr. McGeehan is going to write me a letter
making these suggestions which I shall send to you.
Yours ver y truly,
EAM: AG
