RE: Grace Shea, formerly Grace Seal
In response to your comunication of Jenuary 27th
last, I have been informed by my client that she was in the
employ of your institution for a period of at least two years
and not the period referred to in said communication.
According to the history of her case as fumished
to mey she stated that a short time after her employment with
your institution, she complained of intestinal disturbances,
headaches, and generalized veakness. These fects were disclosed
to your company by reason of receiving treatment on numerous
occasions at the medical room provided for by her employers
for such contingencies. At the time of her complaints she was
in actual contact with luminous material.
During the course of her employment and after the
termination thereof, my client had been under constant medical
attention, visited many medionl institutions, in furtherance of
relieving her of the conditions complained of, without results
in that direction. Specialists vere unable to determine the nature
end cause of her ailments.
At my request her case was referred to one of the
nations foromost authority on radium poisoning who has definitely
diagnosed her ailments as that of an active case of radium poison-
ing with the possibilities of the same becoming progressively
worse.
For your information she is undergoing constant attacks
of vomiting, hez vomitus being of a yellos consisteney. She has
lost considerable weight, her teeth becans discolored and loose,
her resistancy lowered, complains ofiteling of woakness, heart
changes, pallor of conjunctiva, and general losa of body tone. A
blood test reveals presence of anemia and lynphoeytosis. Vlords
cannot express the pain and anguish of mind resulting therefrom.
Trusting that your company will excend to this unfortune-
ate victim the considaration which she deserves inasmich as the
same was created thru no fault of her own in furtherence of the
interests of your company.
