AND THE DIRECTOR
JUL 2 1934
Mr. H. H. Barker,
U. S. Radium Corporation,
535 Pearl Street,
New York, N. Y.
Dear Barker:
I regret to see in the last News Edition an announce-
ment of the death of Henry T. Koenig as the regult of a necrosis
of the pelvic region and spine believed to be due to radium rays.
This is a new type of attack as far as I have seen.
I wonder if you or Dr. Schlundt know anything about his
condition. Was he supposed to have radium in his body or was it
the result of external radiation? I notice he was living in Denver
at the time of his death.
I was never satisfied entirely with the diagnosis of
Whittemore's case and it is rather disturbing to see a second of
these early crystallizers dying at such an early age.
With best regards,
Sincerely yours,
A. C. find
