giving
Howard H. Barker, Esq.
,
Vice-President, U. S. Radium Corp.,
AUG 23 9934
535 Pearl Street,
New York City.
Dear Mr. Barker:
We have received word from Mr. Havens,
Deputy Clerk of. the United States District Court, through
Mr. Emmerglick, that Judge Forman has written to Mr.
Havens stating that the LaPorte case would have to go
to trial on September 17th without fail. This word came
in today and I am writing to Mr. Havens to verify it.
We shall have to do all in our power to
have Dr. Schlundt present. Perhaps in view of the fact
that he has been connected with this litigation so long
and is so interested in it, he will make an extra effort
to be present.
Yours very truly,
Tumbley
