August 28, 1934. Mr. E. A. Markley, %Collins & Corbin, #1 Exchange Place, Jersey City, N.J. Dear Mr. Markley: In discussing the LaPorte case with Dr. Schlundt after taking his deposition, I was quite forcibly impressed by the fact that he really knew nothing regarding what it was all about, and he ex- pressed the idea that had he known the points at issue, he believed he would have been able to more intelligent- ly answer a good many of the questions; especially under cross examination. I am, therefore, enclosing 8 memorandum which I have dictated, which is self explanatory. I will appre- ciate it if you will go over this, making any corrections that you deem necessary, or additions. Also, whether you believe it advisable to place & memorandum such as this in the hands of our expert witnesses prior to their going on the stand. Very truly yours, HHBarker:DK Vice-President Enc.
