Mr. C. Lee,
United States Radium Corp.
535 Pearl Street,
New York City, N.Y.
Dear Mr. Lee:
It is my understanding that Dr. Hess
is going to take over the radium determinations on
your employees. Can you give me some idea as to
when this will take place as I do not want to buy
any new equipment as it is very expensive. I shall
be very happy when Dr. Hess will take over this
type of work.
Do you want us to continue to make the
physical examination of your employees. I would
like to know so that I can make my plans accordingly.
If you so desire and if Dr. Hess is willing I could
take the air samples for Dr. Hess here and they
would be away from your place and there is no chance .
of other contaminations. I would be willing to
follow Dr. Hess's suggestions in taking these samples.
I will be out of town all of next week
but I trust that I will hear from you in the near
future, I am,
Cordially yours,
Pudenich B.Thum
Frederick B. Flinn
Director of Industrial Hygiene.
