SKI TROOPS IN ITALY--Can.troops volunteer to go in
on skis to unreachable British troops trapped without enough supplies,
food etc-first time ski troops used in this campaign-in Atessa, load
skiis and other equipment into trucks-reach impasse in trucks so they
load sleds with food and supplies and load on the skis-in town of
Tornarecccio, kids watch in awe as Canadieans load the strange ski equip
ment on sleds-odd uniforms, too,since kids never saw them before
on cross country down the trail on sids and hauling sled -
arrive house of stranded British unit--two men come out to greet the
r
escue party--unpack supp. ies
