THE WEEK AHEAD
My Activities: On Tuesday, I will address Treasury's PARTNERSHIPS
'95 Conference for small, minority and women-owned businesses.
I
will meet with SEC Chairman Arthur Levitt, and with Representative
Frank Wolf separately. I will also address the Society of
American Business Editors and Writers at their annual convention.
On Wednesday, I will address the Center for National Policy, and
meet with Czech Prime Minister Klaus. On Thursday, I will meet
with Chairman Greenspan, and also appear before the House Foreign
Ops Subcommittee to testify on MDBs. On Friday, I will attend a
roundtable with the Federal Advisory Council, and address a group
sponsored by Senator Graham. On Sunday, I will travel to New York
to attend a fundraiser for Representative Nita Lowey.
Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) Opens Miami Office:
Representatives of OFAC have worked out details for the opening of
its new OFAC office in Miami. An administrative officer of OFAC,
detailed from Customs, will oversee the process of coordinating
OFAC activity with the law enforcement community and community
outreach.
District of Columbia: In response to a request from OMB, a team
of specialists from the IRS will provide assistance to the
District of Columbia in resolving its current financial situation.
OMB has asked the IRS to conduct an assessment of the revenue
collection process at the Department of Finance and Revenue.
