Donnie and Fonda Malone
Donnie and Fonda Malone live in Laurel, MD, with their four children: daughters Lakeya,
Temaka and Alivia and son Donnie II. Lakeya and Temaka are both teenagers and are active in
school and numerous extra-curricular activities. Between the parents' career responsibilities and
the children's busy schedules. the Malone's often struggle to find quality time to spend together.
Donnic and Fonda both believe that one of their highest priorities as parents is to help
their children make healthy decisions and learn the value of responsibility The Malone's
recognize that they must remain focused and firmly committed to the every-day work involved
with nurturing relationships with their children. They emphasize the fact that more than one
person is impacted by the actions of a parent.
Fonda is a teacher at Laurel Woods Elementary School in Howard County, MD. During
her tenure as an educator, she has received much praise for the dedication and enthusiasm she
brings into the classroom.
Donnic is the Executive Director of the Druid IIill Family YMCA, located in a high-
crime, high-poverty neighborhood of Baltimore, MD. Mr. Malone has dedicated his career to
carrying out the mission of the YMCA to build strong kids, strong families, and strong
communities.
