About two dozen 4- and 5-year-olds greeted Mrs. Clinton at the Shishu Bhavan
orphanage, which is home to 436 children and was founded by Mother Teresa in
1956.
The children sang songs in English and waved little U.S. and Indian flags as
Mrs. Clinton chatted with some of the nuns of Mother Teresa's order, the
Missionaries of Charity.
Mrs. Clinton also stopped to pick up a toddler in a room filled with about 50
green cribs and walked through a section with infants lying in white bassinets.
Paintings of Jesus Christ and children adorned the walls of the rooms.
