My dear Mr. Peary: First of all let me thank you very much for your kindness in thinking of me and sending speendid me that walrus head. Next, I want to mention / that yesterday I sat by Dr. Nansen at lunch, and he spoke of you with the warmest regard and admi- ration, and evidently appreciates to the full what you have done.
