COPY. Navy Department Washington, November 10th, 1897. Siro Before a Board appointed by the Secretary of the Navy to consider the matter of a reorganization of the personel of the Navy, a resolution has been offered to declare it the sense of the Board that no further appointments be made into the Corps of Civil Engineers You are hereby notified to appear before the Board, and submit your views of the matter, if you so desire. It also desired that engineers within or without the service who may be interested in the matter shall be present to give their views. The Board will be in session on Monday, November 22d,1897 at the Navy Department Washington, Dgeo Respectfully Theodore Roosevelt, Assistant Secretary Chief of the Bureau of Yards and Docks Navy Department.
