Song of the Flymen By WALT MASON (Air The Soldier's Farewell") Oh, joyful are our races Across the windswept spaces! No flying cinders blind us, We leave no dust behind us! Away, away the good ship flies! Away, away, to brush the skies! We don't run over chickens While farmers raise the dickens! No toll gate men bewail us, WHOLE No jay policemen jail us! Away. away, etc. No spreading rails affright us, No dogs run out and bite us, We kill no mules or heifers, But ride along the zephyrs, Away, away, etc. We climb no weary ridges, We cross no creaking bridges; No speed laws are our bosses- We soar like albatrosses! Away, away, etc.
