Hewn Clay Bowl "Samara"
c 1950s ?
Overall: 11.1 x 35.6 cm (4 3/8 x 14 in.)
https://clevelandart.org/art/1959.66
Created by Cleveland native and industrial designer Viktor Schreckengost, this hewn clay bowl eschews the Art Deco style that the artist is known for. The glazing of the bowl's wide and shallow interior creates a subtle gray-brown gradient.
