D. 1906 APPLICATION OF Arla a Nelson To BE ADMITTED A CITIZEN OF THE By OCCUPATION A mechanic UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. John Street, a Haren nelson State of Connecticut, and is by occupation a merchant being duly sworn, deposes and says, that he resides at/7 Chiften in new that he is personally acquainted with the above-named applicant for admission to citizenship of the said United States, and has known him for the past 28 years; that his occupation is that of mechanic Street, in new Haven and that he resides at No. 17 Chich that he personally yows that the applicant has resided continuously withil the limits and under the jurisdiction of the United States of America since February 1 898 , and continuously within the State of Connecticut since Decenter 1900 and that during the said time of his residence within the United States and within the State, he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. That in so far as he knows, is informed or believes, the applicant does not disbelieve in nor is he opposed to all organized government, nor is he a member of or affiliated with any organization entertaining or teaching such belief in or opposition to all organized government, nor does he ad Ivocate or teach the duty, necessity or propriety of the unlawful assaulting or killing of any officer or officers, either of specific individuals or of officers generally, of the gov- ernment of the United States or of any other organized government, because of his or their official character, nor has he violated any of the provisions of the Act of Congress entitled An Act to Regulate the Immigration of Aliens into the United States," approved March 3. 1903. Sworn to beforg this 5 Edum S.Pichett day of January CLERK. , 1906 Doln d Aretion WITNESS. about Nels O.CHelson being duly sworn, deposes and says, that he is the above-named applicant for admission as a citizen of the United States of America: that he was Born on the mi 17 day of October in the year one thousand eight hundred and seventy eight and emigrated to the United States, landing at the Port of Chen yoh in the State of New york on or about the 12 A. 898 and that he now resides at No. 17 Chitton day of February that he has arrived at the age of twenty-one years ; that he has resided continuously within 1898 and continuously within the State of Connectieut since recember Street, the in the United City Statesusince of newtharen February 1900 and that said applicant did before a Clerk of a Court of Common Law jurisdiction named in the said act of April 14, 1802, two years prior hereto declare his intention to become a citizen of the United States and renounce and abjure all allegiance to every foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatsoever, etc., as appears by the certificate of the Clerk of said Court, here produced, and said applicant says he is the identical person named therein. Applicant further deposes and says: that he does not disbelieve in nor is he opposed to all organized government, nor is he a member of or affiliated with any organization entertaining or teaching such disbelief in or opposition to all organized government, nor does he advocate or teach the duty, necessity or propriety of the unlawful assaulting or killing of any officer or officers, either of specific individuals or of officers generally, of the Government of the United States or of any other organized govern- ment, because of his or their official character, nor has he violated any of the provisions of the Act of Congress entitled An Act to Regulate the Immigration of Aliens into the United States," approved March 3, 1903. Congress United States, entitled " An Act to Establish an Uniform Rule of Naturalization," etc., passed April 14, 1802, and the The above-named of the applicant having applied to be admitted a Citizen of the United States pursuant to the directions of the Act of Acts subsequently passed on that subject, and to the directions of the Act of Congress entitled An Act to Regulate the Immigration of Aliens into the United States," approved March 3, 1903, and appearing personally in Court, producing such evidence and affidavits and that making such declarations and renunciations, and taking such oaths as are by the said Acts required, and it appearing to the Court the said affidavits of the applicant and his witness were duly made and recorded, it is Orfeced by the said Court that the said applicant be admitted to be a Citizen of the United States of America.
