daughter. John Williams died in 1941. She and her husband,
who were in constanttsearch for work, left Kansas City, Missouri
for California in the early 1900's by covered Wagon for California
where they settled. She lives with her daughter. Is supposed to
have a great deal of energy and be in good health. She is one
of the people Cicely Tyson spent time with when Cicely Tyson was
studying for her part in the"Autobiography of Jane Pittman".
Pearl Williams, I am told, helps supervise the activities of 45
pre-schoolers. I'm not certain

The major proceeds of the evening are given to the Americana Project
at the Dept. of State. They hope to complete this project in
time for the Bicentennial.
The project for the State Dept. evolved after several members
had been to the State Dept. Diplomatic rooms and were impressed
with what they saw. Clem Conger, consequently flew out to California
to give them a lecture and so impressed them that they decided
to donatet the major portion of the annual dinner dance proceeds to
the American Project.
The national Arts Assoc. is starting new chapters, one of which
is now being organized in Washington under Mrs. McGregor's guidance.
The annual theme of the dinner/ball is the Cymbidium/ The entire
ballroom is decorated with cymbidium orchids from the estate of
one of the members Mrs. Bert Malouf. The height of the blooming
season is mid to late April through May.
Carol Finch is Chairman of the event.
Art Linkletter is MC

Dear Sheila,
Sorry I missed you when you were out here last. I tracked down
your schedule in Palm Springs and L.A., but couldn't swing the time to get
up there and say hello. I guess Eddie did see Dad. I trust you're both
in good health.
Anyways, when you and Betty Ford cruise out here around May 19, I'd
be delighted to get together with you. If possible, an interview with a
member of the Ford family would be great! I realize Betty probably has a
tight schedule already. But if time permits, her interview with a small
newspaper would be tremendous P.R., especially when the wires pick it up.
Frankly, the interview wouldn't hurt my grueling ascent up the ladder,
either. Whatever happens
I've been reporting for the Star-News for about four months now,
after leaving a news-writing stint at the ABC affiliate here. The Star-News
covers the metropolitan South Bay area of San Diego, and has earned a
reputation (with little help from me) as one of the better news media in
the county...and for San Diego County, that's not saying much.
I'd appreciate some sort of confirmation on when and if we can get
FORD
together. You can reach me at the Star-News, or at home at 720 W. Lewis St.

To whom it may concern:
Through the Community Video Center and Public Access
Television, we would appreciate the opportunity to in-
terview Mrs. Betty Ford, and air the interview during
our time slot, 7 pm 11pm Friday, on Channel 24.
We feel the interview would help greatly in both
promoting fine art, and informing the general public of
the availability of Public Access T.V.
Enclosed, are questions we would like the First Lady
to respond to.
We will keep the interview as short as possible, for
we feel even a few minutes would be of great value.
We would appreciate your serious consideration of this
request.
Sincerely yours,
Christene I Jones

LOVE CONQUERS ALL
Dear Honorable Public Servant:
We know the criticalness of the hour, and are concerned
as you must be concerned with the international scene. Since
it is our desire to bring about world accord, we have devised
a means whereby mankind can be united without being threaten-
ed by powers which seek control.
There is one unifying principle which has been taught by
all religions, no matter what part of the globe from which
they originated, revealing THAT THERE IS WITHIN MAN A POWER
WHICH CAN UNITE ALL MANKIND. This Power has held the Universe
together.
We are enclosing with this communication A Manifesto
which has been delivered into our hands by Powers not existing
on earth. Those who recognize Divine Guidance will see that
this could not have been the creation of human mind but comes
from a higher source.
Therefore its precepts will be established since it is
not within anyone's abilities to prevent it from being put
into effect. In time it will come about, for we are ruled by
Greater Laws governing the Universe than man-made laws.
Today it is either Love or perish. We send this message
to you with all our Love behind it, knowing that if there is
some measure of assistance you can offer in helping to estab-
lish any of these precepts on earth, you will do SO. May you
be blessed in your efforts to make this world a more befitting
place in which to dwell.
Cordially yours,

An Appeal
We are just a small group as yet, but we know that others
who feel the same as we ao will want to join this effort. If the
people who believe in justice, liberty, and freedom do not band
their efforts together, they will lose their recourse to these
rights. It will be absolutely up to the people themselves to
exert their efforts to defend these rights. Our efforts are to
reach the public, because only they can help. Leaders cannot
lead properly until the public understands what God-Power is....

U.S.A.
Dear Fellow Public Servant,
Thank you very much for your letter introducing to
me " World Harmony." That "Love Conquers All" is a funda-
mental Divine Law, a principle, a FACT. Those who have
eyes, who see and perceive, do experience it as they carry
on their daily tasks.
Bearing this in mind I must say that the Manifesto of
World Harmony touches on the heart of the present world
problem. the need for Peace. Love is the Key. Not many
will see it as such but this is not important. The important
thing is for those who realize this, no matter how few they
be here on earth, to come together and put in their best
to permit Love Conquer All in the interest of Man.
Initial set-backs mean nothing. The vital point is
that once these few realize that there is a Supreme Intelli-
gence and Power other than Man's that backs their efforts
there should be no sense to think of failure. The path may
be long, weary and dreary but, surely, the spirit of Love
shall prevail in the end.
I should be most grateful if you would please let me
have details about the activities of World Harmony. None
here can defy the Creator's Will. It commands our respect.
I look forward to hearing again from you and wish you
Peace Profound.
Yours cordially,
Emman. T. EGBE
