Dear Dean:
I am enclosing a letter I have written
to the President on my observations in London
which, although I believe confirms pretty general- -
ly what has been reported in one way or another by
the Embassy, may be of some value.
I enjoyed greatly our talks while I was in
Washington and look forward to seeing you while I am
back in mid-April. Meantime, we will try to bat out
some joint opinions for you at our meeting in Rome.
Warm regards,
Sincerely,
Downll
W. A. Harriman
U.S. Special Representative
in Europe
P.S. - When are they going to criticize you for
associating with me? :
&
