run with appropriate interruptions frommid- afternoon
of the first day to mid-afternoon of the second.
With the exception of the November meeting, the dates
are Saturday and Sunday. The November meeting will
be on Thursday and Friday.
It is planned at these meetings to discuss further
the major substantive questions of foreign policy
during the period 1949-1952. The first meeting will
probably be devoted to the defense of Europe, the
Military Assistance Program, and the role of Germany
in the defense of Europe. It is planned to make
available before each meeting a brief summary of the
public history of the issues to be discussed.
