WASHINGTON

Dear Hinie:
Replying to yours of the second, tell Edgar
I received his letter and appreciated it.
I've written Roger and told him I'm not
interested in memorials to me - in fact I
think it is bad to erect a memorial to a live
man because you might want to tear it down
sometime - you never can tell how he will
turn out.
In regard to a Commemorative Stamp, I've
been doing my best to put a stop to these
stamps - it has almost gotten to be a racket.
In fact, if we would issue all those requested
we would issue one every day.
Sincerely yours,
Honorable Edgar G. Hinde
