This catalog lists and describes more than 2,400 motion
pictures and filmstrips of the United States Government which
may be purchased and used by schools and industry in their edu-
cational and training programs. These films of 20 different
agencies cover a wide variety of subjects - from nature study
to psychiatry, from the Tanglewood music festival to the techni-
cal skills of machine shop work. While most of the films were
not produced specifically for classroom use, it is our belief
that they will be valuable teaching tools in many school and
college courses.
I am glad that the U. S. Office of Education has been
able to assist in having these films released and distributed
through United World Films, Inc., for public educational use. I
hope that they will be widely used.
