THE PRESIDENT
Announced meetings would be on Monday and Friday from now on.
SNYDER
Renegotiation Bill should be out of the HouseCommittee next week.
The Reciprocal Trade Bill will come out the week following. Then they
will get going on the new Tax Bill. There may be some joint hearings on
some phases of bill which will expedite the final handling of the bill.
MARSHALL
Start hearings tomorrow with Sen Lyndon Johnson's committee on
Manpower Legislation. Much time and discussion has gone into the pre-
paration of the bill. Asked other Cabinet officers to keep their as-
sistants out of the hearings and not let them muddy up the water.

Thinks it is time to ask for increase in postal rates and cut down
on Federal subsidy. Proposes to do this in the next few weeks by pre-
senting a bill to Congress.
