ACHESON Message from President and Churchill to Mossadegh on Iran oil situation was not received very favorably. He suspected it was a trap. In Egypt things are going SO well that he is afraid there must be a catch in it. LOVETT Production in July was good. In August it was also good especi- ally in view of the steel strike. 400 M-47 tanks 43 T-48 11 136 T-41 11 were produced in the past month. There are 4 strike affecting M-47 tank production but they are not too serious. Is concerned about threat of slowdown activity by Communist Electrical Workers Union in Atomic Energy Plant construction. This might slow down completion of plants as much as 4 or 5 months. ATTY GEN Dept of Justice is working toward a solution of this problem now. TOBIN Our employment is at all time high in the U. S. Unemployment is at an all time low. 11:45
