July 19, 1950 Memorandum for: Secretary of Defense From: The President I am returning a couple of memorandums which you left with me - one from the Chairman of the Munitions Board, and the other from the Director, Office of Military Assistance, which I rather think you will want in your files. I am also returning two other memorandums which you should have in your files. This is formal authorization for you to call the National Guard and the Reserves in the manner set forth in the Message to the Congress. H.A.T.
