February 1, 1947 ARCHIVER it's RECORDS AMD of SERVICER Dear Mr. Jackson: I appreciated very much your letter in regard to the shipbuilding industry. That matter carne up for discussion in the Cabinet Meeting last Friday and I hope we can find a solution to it. With the Congress in the mood, however, to be picayunish on necessary appropriations I know I will find it difficult to meet this situation. It will take the best thought of everyone to work it out. Sincerely yours, HARRY S. TRUMAN Mr. William K. Jackson President Chamber of Commerce of the United States Washington, D.C.
