The Belgian Government has been duly informed of them. The General Secretary of the United Nations has apprised us of the Security Council resolu- tions, adopted as a result of the aggression against the Korean Republic, and the United States Government has informed us of the action undertaken this country in the framework of these resolutions. We have immediately established close contact with the two countries with which we are associated within Benelux. The Belgian Government declares itself ready to answer the appeal of the United Nations and to furnish the assistance which it may be asked to give in conformity with the Security Council resolutions.
