Visit of the Regent of Irag

Monday, May 28, at 4:30 p.m., in order to arrive at the White

ness and party, consisting of His Excellency Nuri Pasha As-Said,
His Excellency Daoud al Haidari, Major Sinderson, Director of
Health and Head of Royal Hospital, Baghdad, and Lieutenant Colonel
Ubayd Abdullah, Aide-de-Camp, will be met by the Secretary of
State (the Acting Secretary, in the absence of the Secretary),
the Chief of Protocol, the President's Military and Naval Aides,
the Military and Naval Aides assigned to the Regent, the Minister
of Iraq, and one or two others. The President's Military and
Naval Aides will use a White House car for the trip to the station,
which car will then be placed at the disposal of the Regent for the
trip to the White House.
Arrival at White House
Entrance to the White House grounds will be through the north-

up on the White House grounds between the north.portico and Pennsyl-
vania Avenue to render appropriate military honors.
After welcoming the Regent, the President will invite him and
the Military Aides to accompany him out onto the grounds before the
portico, and there receive the military honors. The President and
the Regent will then enter the White House where the Regent will be
presented to Mrs. Truman. After greeting the Regent, Mrs. Truman
will retire to the Red Room (where tea will be served), while the
President and the Regent will proceed to the Blue Room, and there
