MEMORANDUM FOR MISS CONWAY:
With reference to your memorandum of April 12, 1950,
I am returning herewith the letter of January 5, 1950,
with enclosure, which was sent to the President from the
Mayor of Kyoto, Japan.
The Officer in Charge of the Kobe Branch, Kobe,
Japan, has been requested to make an appropriate ac-
knowledgment of this letter and of the silk tapestry
which the President received from the Mayor and citizens
of Kyoto, Japan.
