*d. Reports indicate the constant movement of enemy troops on
the east coast of South Korea. The movement to date has been localized
except in Utchin area where late reports show enemy penetration to the
west from 10 to 20 miles. An estimated enemy Infantry Regiment, supported
with tanks, occupied Samchok. It is estimated that there is one infantry
regiment in Okkye and one enemy Infantry Battalion in Mukhojin. The
enemy strength in Utchin is undetermined. Pohang and the coastal road
north to Kanggu are occupied by South Korean forces in undetermined

SOUTH KOREAN ARMY
*g. Headquarters of the South Korean Army has been moved from
Pyongtaek to Songhwan. The South Korean Army is in process of reorgani-
zation in the vicinity of Chonan® The new organization consists of the First
Army Corps, composed of the 1st and 7th Divisions. Personnel of the 2d,
3d and 5th Divisions were used to fill out the First Army Corps and those
divisions eliminated from the South Korean order of battle. (FECOM)
