1. Weather:
Scattered clouds at 2500 feet over all inland areas during the afternoon
and evening. Along the east coast broken to overcast at 1500 feet with re-
stricted visibility. Forecast: Generally unchanged.
2. Soviet Participation:
Negative.
3. Enemy Situation:
a. In the south, company size probings were made against elements of
the 25th U.S. Division, but positions were restored by counterattacking friendly
forces. The enemy continues to exert pressure against the entire area by
applying sporadic small arms and artillery fire, and infiltration tactics.

b. In the 24th U.S. Infantry Division sector, an estimated 2 enemy
battalions crossed the Naktong River in the vicinity of the ferry crossing 9
miles west of Yongsan. Three hundred enemy troops are reported surrounded
in the vicinity of another ferry crossing about 6 miles west of Yongsan. The
eneray bridgehead is being contained and gradually reduced by friendly forces.
New enemy river crossings are reported in the areas west: of Yongsan, north-
east of Chogye, and east of Koryong. (FECOM) (SECRET)
C. An attempted enemy river crossing was repulsed by friendly forces
about 4 miles southeast of Sonsan, An estimated enemy regiment is reported
in the vicinity of Togae. A pilot reported enemy troop barges crossing the
river about 6 miles northeast of Sangju. Enemy troop movements southeast
