For instance, the voluble\nColonel l'Hopital, who was on the French delegation to Rome, is\napparently trying to organize the same kind of pro-NATO association\nof ex-soldiers, and in Belgium the very well-established business\nmen's club \"Mars et Mercure\", which consists of retired officers,\nhas raised the question of how it could cooperate with any similar\nbodies in other NATO countries. The worst of veterans is that they\ndie or at least fade away after the manner of old soldiers.\nIf, therefore, we are to choose between the uses to which the\nlimited resources and manpower of A.T.A. should be put, it seems to\nme that work among schools and the younger generation should receive\npriority every time.\nWhite tells me that he is getting my ticket to fly over to New\nYork on January 17th.
