And I don't care who wins that one, so long as it S a St. Louis team. to A The other championship will be decided on ir November 7th and both you and I don't care who 5 wins this one-so long as itt's the Democratic Party. ty vo Last night, I heard a pretty smart fellow make a pretty good point on the radio. The fellow is our National Committee Chairman--Bob Hannegan-- 11 and the point he made is worth repeating. Bob said that if the vote were taken in the home right now--our next President would be Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Every national poll, without exception, shows this--and of course it's true. But there's something else that's equally true. Votes are not counted in the home. The payoff is in the voting booth. Then, the way I see it - - this places a tremendous responsibility on us--as Democrats. Here we have the people of this country delivering what amounts to a mandate. They have demonstrated through the polls a distinct preference for a Democratic admin- istration. They know they need it, in order to win this was as quickly as possible--and in order to secure the peace that will follow. Yes, they is NARA want a Democratic administration. (my
