K: I was talking to Mel on how to move this stuff through the safeguard
to the President. We are going to have a DPRC meeting on Friday. The
best would be if you could present the three basic choices. First is the
one we have already done. Second, Whitman plus command authority,
Third, Whitman plus
on 4 bases.
P: You don't want to consider fallback to ID only?
K: No.
P: Whiman plus bases is the one you want to take.
K: If we could take a look at what you are doing as you do it I would like
that but it isn't necessary.
P: I can get it to you tomorrow.
