K: And I discussed it with the Secretary. As ax matter of fact he

The Kabuki play-

K: Did you and Stans come to an agreement?
J: Yes.
K: And has it been communicated?
J: Yes. Shimoda left for Paris this morning and I'm waiting for word
from him.
K: That was not to be surfaced within the X bureaucracy. They were
supposed to come up with it.
J: I think Maury's entirely clear on that.
K: It left for Paris with Maury?
J: No.
K: With Shimoda?
J: Let me start over again. Shimoda was instructed to go to Paris to
see Miazawa. I told Shimoda that Maury was prepared to meet Miazawa.
Maury and I got together
Maury's not to you was based on a misunder-
standing and misinterpretation by his staff. Maury is content about the
proposition.
