Story led NBC and was cited in CBS lead on cuts in petro- chemical production, including plastics and the ripple effect of fuel shortage thru US economy. CBS later had film on cuts of up to 50% in pleasure boat production -- resulting from pinch in fiberglass and other needed materials but also in sharp decline in sales, again the fuel scare is the reason.
