September 20th,1928. Dr.R. B. Moore, Dean of Science, Purdue University Lafayette, Indiana. Dear Dr. Moore: We appreciate that your teip to Berlin caused you considerable inconvenience, and I am sorry to learn that it prevented your attending the French Societe Industrielle at Strasbourg. However, we wish to assure you that we appreciate your endeavors in our behalf and realize very well that such work cannot be conducted without involving expense. We shall be glad. to get any further information that becomes available abroad. Dr. Schlundt left New York on September 2nd, for a week's vacation in the Horthern part of Michigan, which he felt he needed, and I think he was correct. I haités vew lines from him the other day saying that he had a restful as well as very enjoyable geek's stay there. Cordially yours, Vice President. HHBarker: :RH
