November 26,1930. Dr. Herman Schlundt, University of Missouri, Columbia, Mo. Dear Dr. Schlundt: llonday, January 5th,1931, has been set as the date of trial for the Tuck and Metz cases, and we trust that you will be available on this date. We hope to have the opportunity to make re-examination of Mrs. Meta for the presence of radio- activity. This exanination will probably take place a day or two prior to trial. We should have definite information relative to this point during the next few days, and as soon as I an advised as to when we can make this test I shall communicate with you. Personally I am very much in hopes that the Tuck case may be settled, but I an strongly averse to settling the Metz case, and think we should go to trial in this instance. We would appreciate word from you at your earliest convenience advising as to your availability on the date specified. I had a chat with Dr. Curtis yesterday, relative to the work which his particular division of the National Research Council is doing on radiation exposure. I was glad to learn that Mrs. Schlundt is now able to be up, but sorry to learn that she has had a rather serious time. Please extend to her my kindest regards, and hope for a speady and complete recovery. Sincerely yours, Vice President. hHBarker:RH
