GIRL PRESSES SUIT
OVER RADIUM TAINT
Attacks Firm's Attempt to
Prove Illness Outlawed
Special Dispatch to New York Post
TRENTON, July 23.-The attempt
of the United States Radium Corpo-
ration to invoke the statue of lim-
itations against a damage suit of a
former employee in its Orange
watch dial plant was attacked in an
action filed in Federal Court here
today.
The case is that of Grace Lohne-
finke of Bloomfield, former lumi-
nous dial painter, who asks $200,000
damages. She became ill in 1924,
but did not discover the cause of
her disability until 1933, according
to her suit.
The corporation contends her ac-
tion is outlawed by the statute of
limitations. She has appealed to
the Federal Court now for an in-
junction to restrain the radium cor-
poration from invoking the limita-
tions clause, charging the corpora-
tion misled her into withholding her
damage suit until many years after
her employment ended
