The church surmounted by a cupola and flanked by low buildings on either side, is seen across the Arno. Here are two small boats close to the near shore, on which men, varying in number and action in the several states, are engaged in sifting gravel and sand. Three oblique lines have been introduced in the left of the lower corner. Much new shading higher up on the same side, below the sieve. The buildings on the further shore are again extensively re-worked; the small boat near the shore at the extreme left has been much darkened.
