She revived at the morgue, was rushed to the hospital where she lay in a coma for five days. a doctor had previously pronounced her "dead" from an overdose of sedatives. Hospital authorities say that she is now fully recovered and is perfectly normal.

Mrs. Theresa Butler, who was pronounced dead, an apparent suicide, when she was found in the bathtub of her San Francisco home, and who showed signs of life on arrival at the morgue, is shown still hanging on to the slim thread of life in San Francisco Hospital. Doctors said that even if Mrs. Butler should survive, she would be only a "human vegetable" because of damage to her nervous system during her death-like coma.
